This recipe comes from one of my favorite matcha cafes, Teaquation in Redwood City. The Kryptonite is my usual order, so I was excited to see that Teaquation had released the recipe for it. It’s easy to make and delicious so there’s no excuse not to give this recipe a shot.
INGREDIENTS
Top
- 1/2 tsp matcha with 1.5oz hot water
- 1.5oz cold water
Bottom
- 3oz black tea
- 0.5oz fresh lemon juice
- 1.5oz simple syrup
Garnish
- Mint
DIRECTIONS:
- Combine black tea, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker and shake with ice until cold.
- Pour into cup.
- Whisk matcha with hot water until frothy. Add cold water to cool it down.
- Slowly pour into cup to create layer effect.
- Garnish with mint.
