Very similar to Anh Tran at My Gourmet Kitchen, I had a few things in my fridge that was going to expire soon. So I typed into google the food items with a due date, pressed search, and voila, this recipe turned up. After reading the steps required, I almost turned back. I never baked before, and this seemed tedious and complicated, but since I had nothing else to do, I thought I’d give it a shot. Surprisingly, despite being a novice, the mousse cake turned out pretty good! If you follow the steps carefully, you’ll find yourself with a very delicious, moist matcha mousse cake. I substituted the castor sugar for granulated sugar (which I then grounded to fine), so your results may vary, but overall, the cake was great! I loved the mixture between the earthy, almost bitter taste of the match paired with the sweetness of the white chocolate. I shared it with my office the next day, and everyone went crazy over it. Not bad for a new baker!
